Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey School Supervisor or Principal Certification
- Administrator experience required
- Demonstrated leadership in school improvement, program development and curriculum integration and application of technology across the curriculum
- Ability to plan, organize and administer a district-level professional development program
- Independent use of Google Suite, word processing, Excel, E-Mail, - Internet and appropriate software applications is highly desirable.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
- PERFORMANCE
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with district leadership, principals, and teachers to develop, refine, and implement a coherent, vertically aligned curriculum in English Language Arts, ESL, and World Languages that reflects district goals and state standards.
- Leads the development and continuous improvement of literacy instruction and language acquisition programs, ensuring alignment with research-based practices and the needs of diverse learners, including multilingual learners.
- Evaluates, recommends, and oversees the adoption and implementation of instructional materials, textbooks, and programs in ELA, ESL, and World Languages through collaborative committee processes, with attention to rigor, accessibility, and cultural responsiveness.
- Provides leadership in strengthening early literacy, reading, writing, and language development as well as second language acquisition across grade levels.
