Job Description
- Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate in Special Education K-12, or Teacher of the Handicapped, or Teacher of Students with Disabilities
- Elementary Education Certificate additionally preferred
- Ability/experience working with small groups of students with significant needs (academically/behaviorally)
- Experience and success in working with multiple staff in a single classroom setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S
- Citizenship or legal resident alien status
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of proven instructional strategies as they relate to student achievement.
