Job Description
- Wanaque Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our Child Study Team

- This position plays a vital role in fostering students' well-being, ensuring compliance with special education procedures, and promoting a positive, inclusive school culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing social, emotional, behavioral, and adjustment needs.
- Conduct social histories and participate in multidisciplinary evaluations in accordance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, learning consultants, and related service providers as part of the CST to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university.
- New Jersey certification as a School Social Worker (or eligibility).
- Knowledge of the NJ Administrative Code, IDEA, and special education regulations.
