Job Description
- A Chemistry Teacher in New Jersey, typically at the high school level, is responsible for planning and delivering engaging chemistry lessons, conducting experiments, assessing student learning, and maintaining a positive and effective learning environment, all while adhering to district curriculum and policies.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective chemistry lessons aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and district curriculum.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, unit plans, and long-term plans that cover key chemistry concepts and skills.
- Use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, and laboratory activities, to cater to different learning styles.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Certification: Valid New Jersey teaching certificate in Chemistry or a related area.
- Experience: Previous teaching experience, particularly in chemistry, is preferred.
