Job Description
- Hoboken Public Schools is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic band educator to teach flute, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, percussion, trombone, and tuba as part of the school-day curriculum for students in grades 6/8
- Candidates should have prior experience both teaching and performing on these instruments, with marching band experience strongly preferred
- The ideal candidate will be able to guide students from beginning through advanced skill levels, including developing proficiency in sight-reading, analyzing instrumentation, and participating in ensemble performance.
Requirements
- NJ Teaching Certificate for Music (Limited CE, CE, CEAS, Provisional or Standard); Endorsment 2100 or NJ Substitute Certificate
- Prior experience teaching strings to students
- Ability to teach instrumental is required
