Teacher of Mathematics

• Job Title: Teacher of Mathematics Reports To: Supervisor of Mathematics and Building Principal
• Job Purpose: Provides instruction in a manner that fosters attainment of student's maximum potential in mathematics

Qualifications

• Required:NJ Mathematics Teacher Certification (Standard, CEAS, CE)Knowledge of the Student Learning Standards for high school mathematics
• Knowledge of differentiated instruction strategies, monitoring and assessing student progress
• Demonstrated knowledge of teaching mathematics
• Ability to engage and motivate high school students
• Ability to utilize data to provide individualized instruction plans
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Able to speak English clearly and accurately
• Able to incorporate technology in daily lessons
• Able to pass the Criminal History Review and Sexual Misconduct/Child Abuse Disclosure

Qualifications

• Desired:Experience teaching high school students
• Experience using Google Education
• Familiarity with Charlotte Danielson Teaching Framework

• Makes mathematics relevant to students

• Maintains development portfolios for students
• Infuses technology to enhance student learning
• Involves students in their own learning of mathematics
