• The Manville School District is seeking a dedicated and collaborative professional to support our preschool program through targeted intervention, coaching, and coordination of services
• This role plays a critical part in ensuring all preschool students receive developmentally appropriate support to meet the New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards.Minimum

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Certification Required:Teacher of Preschool through Grade 3 (P-3); ORLearning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDT-C); ORSchool Social Worker; ORSpeech-Language Specialist; ORSchool Psychologist
• Must have at least three years of experience working with preschool aged children
• Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and the New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards
• Ability to work collaboratively with instructional staff, Child Study Team members, and families
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• PIRS/CPIS experience preferred, but not required
• Experience supporting preschool intervention programs or similar multi-tiered systems of support
• Experience implementing play-based learning approaches that support the whole child

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the instructional coach and preschool classroom teachers to adapt and modify instructional practices to support student success
• Conduct regular classroom visits to observe instruction, model strategies, and provide constructive feedback and recommendations
• Recommend appropriate classroom modifications, strategies, and adaptive materials to support children with challenging behaviors or potential learning difficulties
• Coordinate with district special services staff and Child Study Team members to ensure cohesive and aligned preschool programming
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among families and multidisciplinary professionals, as appropriate
• Provide ongoing support to general education teachers in addressing the needs of students with behavioral challenges or learning disabilities
• Review all Requests for Assistance (RFA) and oversee the Preschool Intervention and Referral Team (PIRT) process
• Refer students to the Child Study Team, in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:14, when appropriate after interventions have been implemented

• is commensurate with education level and years of experience, starting at $66,705 (minimum) to $95,850 (maximum)
