- ANTICIPATED: Job Coach, 18-21 Transition Program10-month / MEA position
- The Manville School District is seeking a dedicated and proactive Job Coach to provide structured support and supervision to young adult students (ages 18-21) with disabilities within community-based work environments
- The primary goal of this role is to facilitate the development of vocational, social, and independent living skills necessary for students to achieve competitive employment
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or 60+ college credits.Valid NJDOE Substitute certificate or eligibility to obtain required.Valid State Driver's License with a clean driving record

Requirements

Responsibilities
- Collaboration & Planning: Participate in ongoing planning and instructional collaboration with the Transition Skills teacher to align community experiences with classroom learning.On-Site Coaching: Model task completion and provide side-by-side support to ensure students meet employer expectations.Skill Development: Implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to professional communication, time management, and workplace stamina.Student Transportation: Safely transport students to and from community-based work experiences (CBWE) using district-provided vehicles.Progress Monitoring: Collect and graph data on student performance and behavior; provide regular feedback to the Special Education Teacher.Behavior Support: Implement individualized behavior plans as needed to ensure student success and safety in the community.Fading Support: Gradually reduce direct intervention as the student gains independence, fostering self-reliance.Employer Liaison: Maintain professional relationships with community business partners and advocate for student needs.COMPENSATION:
Salary
- range
- for the 2026-2027 school year is $42,455-$43,955; and in recognition of duties that include work site presence with students and driving students to and from work sites, this employee shall receive a Schedule C, Group 3 equivalent stipend
