  • for receiving supplies and delivery to the proper location: a
  • Matches goods to receiving documents b
  • Signs receiving report and forwards to business office. 3
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as assigned: a
  • Regulates heat, ventilation and air-conditioning systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to insure economical use of fuel, water and electricity. b
  • Shovels, plows and/or sands walks, driveways, parking areas and steps as appropriate. c
  • Raises the United States Flag before 8:00 am on each school day, if not lighted. d
  • Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required. e
  • Sets up for various school events. f
  • Keeps the grounds free from trash. 4
  • Assumes responsibility for routine maintenance on building systems: a
  • Changes light bulbs. b
  • Changes filters. c
  • Makes such minor building repairs as he/she is capable when directed. d
  • Initiates work orders for all major repairs beyond his/her capabilities. e
  • Performs other preventative maintenance tasks as directed by work order. 5
  • Assumes responsibility for assisting with breakfast program: a
  • Delivers breakfast carts to classrooms. b
  • Retrieves breakfast cart and returns to the kitchen. c

Requirements

  • Position holder must be able to bend forward at the waist and is required to have full use of lower extremities
  • Must have the ability to rest on knees, to stand for long periods of time and be able to walk long distances
  • Position holder must be able to use upper body to draw, drag, haul or tug objects and to use fingers and palms to grasp objects
  • Must be able to hear normal conversations and have average visual ability needed to operate machinery
  • Must possess the ability to climb and work on roofs from ladders, lifts and scaffolding, and in confined areas such as crawl spaces
  • Position holder must have the ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
