Responsibilities
- Develops lesson plans and prepares for the daily instruction program
- Evaluates student progress and provides progress reports as required
- Strives to maintain professional competence
- Identifies pupil needs in cooperation with other professional staff members and assists in assessing and helping pupils with school related problem
- Enforces school rules, administrative regulations and board policy
- Maintains communication with parents, administrators and other professional staff members in order to best serve the interest of students
- Maintains a safe and orderly work area
- Performs other duties within the scope of employment and certification as assigned by the principal and/or his/her designee
Qualifications
- Endorsement #2475 Teacher of Student with Disabilities w/Endorsement #1001 New Jersey State Certification REQUIRED or #2470 Teacher of Handicap, Teacher of Elementary K-5Preferred 3 years of experience in Elementary Education, Students with Disabilities
- MUST pass NJ Criminal History Review Unit fingerprinting requirement
