- POSITION: Director of Puerto Rican Arts, and Culture Center (PRACC) and Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) The Director will provide leadership and vision for the center, overseeing all aspects of its artistic, administrative, and financial operations
- This role is crucial in shaping the center's artistic identity, fostering community engagement, and ensuring its long-term sustainability
- The Director will be a dynamic and resourceful leader, passionate about the visual arts and committed to fostering artistic expression and cultural enrichment of Puerto Rican art and culture
- They will be responsible for developing and executing the center's strategic plan, cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders, and overseeing all aspects of the center's operations, including exhibitions, education programs, fundraising, and financial management

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's preferred
- Candidates should have at least 5-7 years of leadership experience in a similar institution, demonstrating experience in strategic planning, program development, fundraising, and financial management
- Knowledge of art history in Puerto Rico and the surrounding regions is highly desirable
- Essential skills include strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities, along with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with diverse populations is preferred
- Fluency in Spanish and English is highly desirable
- A commitment to the center's mission and proficiency in financial management are necessary
- Experience with technical production and installation is a plus, as is adaptability

Responsibilities

- Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop and implement the center's artistic vision and strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Trustees and staff.Serve as the primary spokesperson and ambassador for the center, representing it to the public, media, donors, and the broader arts community.Foster a positive and inclusive environment that attracts, retains, supports, and motivates a diverse staff and encourages collaborative work

- Artistic Programming & Curation
- Oversee the development, planning, and execution of innovative and engaging exhibitions, educational programs, and community initiatives in the visual arts.Curate or oversee the curation of compelling exhibitions that align with the center's mission and engage a diverse audience.Develop and implement an ambitious artistic and research vision that connects the center's creative practice to local, national, and global networks and dialogues.Works in collaboration with the Fabrication lab to coordinate projects, products and exhibits with the entire school district

- The Director is responsible for leading fundraising efforts and managing the center's finances
