Paraprofessional (Instructional)

• Instructional Paraprofessional - Preschool Position Purpose
• Under the direct supervision of a certified staff member, we are seeking a dynamic educator to, to assist certified professional staff with preschool students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives, and to free certified professional employees from non-professional duties.Essential Job Functions
• Assists the teacher with the arrival and dismissal of preschool students
• Assist the teacher in supporting students with daily learning and emotional regulation.Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned curriculum programs.Assists with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions, de-escalate, ensure a safe and orderly classroom, and ensure students are on task.Assists students with special needs in maximizing inclusion, learning, and achievement of IEP objectives.Assist preschool students with toileting, diapering, and hand washing
• Supervise and assist students during rest time
• Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures, and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs.Certification
• Substitute certification preferred
