• The teacher should be flexible and skilled in adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.Provide specialized direct instruction in core academic and functional skill areas across a range of delivery models, including self-contained classrooms, pull-out resource settings, and/or general education classrooms.Create a structured and supportive classroom environment that fosters student learning and growth.Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to plan lessons, modify curriculum, and implement appropriate accommodations and supports.Work closely with related service providers and the child study team to ensure comprehensive educational support.Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction and methodology as needed.Implement positive behavior supports and behavior management strategies to promote appropriate behavior and social-emotional skill development.Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.Certification
• Certification/License:New Jersey State Certification for grades K-8.New Jersey State Special Education Certification Education
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.Experience
• Prior successful teaching experience at the appropriate grade level is preferred
