Director of Secondary Education

Qualifications

• NJ School Administrator Certification Minimum five years teaching experience & five years of supervisor experience
• Assures that the District is aligned with the Secondary Educational Program
• Provide leadership & guidance in all areas of Secondary Education
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal Demonstrated ability to work effectively in the areas of personnel management, school administration and supervision of programs and staff
• Proven ability to effectively analyze data to evaluate and improve programs
• Expert project management, consultative and leadership skills
• Ability to design and implement professional development programs for instructional and administrative staff.Proficiency in office technology software skills Serve as a member of the District Leadership Team
• Supervise Principals and other designated personnel
• Extra duties as assigned by the Superintendent*In accordance with S-414/A-3188 (http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/S0500/414_R2.HTM), school districts, charter schools, nonpublic schools, and contracted service providers ("employers") are required to review the last twenty years of employment history of prospective employees to ascertain allegations of child abuse or sexual misconduct
• It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
