- Providing ongoing coordination and communication of student progress to the program administrators, nonpublic school administrators, teachers, parent and/or guardian and to the sending resident district and staff
- Demonstrating a variety of teaching strategies in relationship to student learning styles
- Establishing and maintaining positive rapport and management in the classroom to enhance student behavior according to district policy and existing laws
- Maintain professional competence, confidentiality and demonstrate a willingness to improve performance
- Participate in curricula program to enhance student learning
- The instructional staff member will be responsible to the Superintendent or his/her designee and will perform all duties in accordance with administrative directives, procedures and regulations and Board Policies.The instructional staff needs location(s) of teaching assignments will be ever changing based on the yearly referral system and the mandates of the laws to provide specialized instructional services.The instructional staff member is responsible for additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.DUTIES AND

- Provide instructional services in the areas of Language Arts and Mathematics to assigned students in nonpublic school locations.Maintain non-instructional duties, such as planning individualized instruction, scheduling student groups, monitoring student progress, maintaining required documentation, and communicating with relevant stakeholders to support student growth and achievement.Monitor and document student progress toward Individual Service Plan (ISP) goals and program objectives using assessment data and ongoing observations, and communicatestudent growth and achievement through required reports and other appropriate means.Utilize a variety of instructional strategies aligned with students' individual learning needs and styles.Establish and maintain positive classroom management practices that support appropriate student behavior and encourage a productive learning environment.Collaborate with ESCNJ colleagues and nonpublic school staff to coordinate services, implement instructional activities, and support student learning, growth, and progress towards educational goals.Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to continuous improvement of instructional practice.Perform instructional and non-instructional duties (including required paperwork and documentation) in a timely and accurate manner.Adhere to all administrative directives, procedures, regulations, and Board policies under the supervision of the program administrators.Participate in staff development activities and staff meetings, as required.Accept flexible assignment locations as determined by referral needs and service mandates.Complete additional duties as assigned in support of department goals and priorities
