Qualifications

  • Required: Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate (English Language Arts)Preferred: Reading Specialist Certification or Reading Endorsement
  • Experience with literacy intervention and assessment
  • Knowledge of adolescent literacy development and evidence-based reading intervention strategies
  • Experience with literacy assessment and data-driven instruction
  • Strong organizational, classroom management, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted reading intervention through individual and small-group instruction for students with identified literacy needs.Assess, monitor, and analyze student progress using diagnostic and formative measures to inform instruction.Design and implement differentiated, evidence-based lessons addressing phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.Observe students in classroom settings and adjust intervention strategies based on academic and behavioral needs.Utilize instructional technology and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance literacy instruction.Consult frequently with classroom teachers on matters relating to reading instruction using our progress-monitoring instruments as a base
  • Familiar with the NJTSS process and Tiered instruction.Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and intervention outcomes using Link

  • Adhere to all district, state, and federal policies and uphold professional ethical standards.Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement and communicate progress.Support a positive school environment and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.Ensure continuity of instruction during absences and perform additional duties as assigned

Salary

  • $68,050 (minimum) to $101,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience, pending negotiated agreement
