English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher

• The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse school district in Somerset County serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professional for the position of an ESL Teacher at the intermediate level
• For those still in the process of attaining certification, please know that the North Plainfield District is approved for participation in the NJDOE Limited Certificate Program which may allow you to work in a full time role as you complete your final certification requirement

Qualifications

• English as a Second Language Certification
• Experience with WIDA Screener, Model and ACCESS testing preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) and the WIDA English Language Development (ELD) Standards.Data-informed instruction - Ability to analyze student data to drive instructional decisions and support student growth.Collaborative mindset - Ability to co-teach and work effectively with colleagues to support student success.Instructional expertise - Proficiency in lesson planning, behavior management, curriculum development, assessment, and the use of diverse educational resources.Growth mindset - Commitment to ongoing professional development and instructional improvement.Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required

Salary

• $69,630 (minimum) to $103,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
