Responsibilities
- Include: Instructing students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening to enhance their literacy and communication skills
- Teach Language Arts to various grade levels skills such as grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and composition
- Incorporate formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and adjusting instruction as needed
- Support the academic and personal growth of students
- Regularly assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Establish and maintain a disciplined classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and active learning
- Work closely with fellow teachers, support staff, and administrators to enhance instructional practices and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and administrators regarding academic progress and classroom activities
- Engage in ongoing professional growth opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and developments in Language Arts education

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Valid NJ CE, CEAS, or Standard Teacher Certification; NJ Criminal History; Work authorization in the U.S.; Tuberculosis Test; Experience is a plus
