Position description

• Phillipsburg Public Schools seeks a qualified Kindergarten Teacher for the Early Childhood Learning Center
• The successful candidate will provide developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Kindergarten within a full-day Kindergarten program

Responsibilities

• include implementing a research-based curriculum, supporting the academic, social-emotional, and developmental needs of Kindergarten students, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• The teacher will collaborate with administrators, coaches, related service providers, and families to promote student growth and student growth and success.Required

Qualifications

• Valid NJ Elementary School Teacher (K-6) or Preschool through Grade 3 (P-3) Certification Knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Kindergarten and developmentally appropriate instructional practices Experience with Kindergarten curriculum and instructional practices Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to collaborate with staff and families Criminal history background check required Preferred

Qualifications

• Experience with Kindergarten curriculum and instructional practices Familiarity with Kindergarten assessment practices and data-driven instruction Knowledge of Kindergarten intervention and referral processes Experience teaching Kindergarten or in an early childhood setting Ability to use assessment data to inform instruction Application Information
