Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid NJ Class B, CDL License with S & P endorsements Good health and sufficient vitality to perform duties assigned
- Demonstrated aptitude for assigned
Responsibilities
- Clean driving record Minimum 3 years previous safe driving experience. 3 years experience operating a school bus or commercial vehicle
- Must pass a criminal background check Performance
Responsibilities
- Obeys all traffic laws
- Observes all mandatory State of NJ Regulations for School Buses
- Maintains discipline when students are on the bus
- Reports disciplined issues to the proper administrative personnel
- Keeps assigned bus clean
- Keeps to the assigned bus schedule
- Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects and maintains all required paperwork
- Notifies the proper administrative personnel in case of mechanical failure and lateness
- Check bus after every run for students and/or items
- Pick up/ discharges students only at authorized bus stops
- Exercises responsible leadership when on district school trips
- Transports only authorized students
- Reports all accidents and complete required reports
- Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus Performs such duties as may from time to time be assigned
- Rate of Pay: $31.15 per hour Effective: 2025- 2026 School Year Interested candidates with applications in our Applitrack System must specifically "apply" for this position
