School Bus Drivers

• /day; 5 days/week; 10 months /year

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.A valid NJ Class B, CDL License with S & P endorsements
• Good health and sufficient vitality to perform duties assigned.Demonstrated aptitude for assigned

Responsibilities

• .Clean driving record
• Minimum 3 years previous safe driving experience.3 years experience operating a school bus or commercial vehicle.Performance

Responsibilities

• Obeys all traffic laws
• Observes all mandatory State of NJ Regulations for School Buses.Maintains discipline when students are on the bus
• Reports disciplined issues to the proper administrative personnel.Keeps assigned bus clean.Keeps to the assigned bus schedule.Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects and maintains all required paperwork.Notifies the proper administrative personnel in case of mechanical failure and lateness.Check bus after every run for students and/or items.Pick up/ discharges students only at authorized bus stops.Exercises responsible leadership when on district school trips.Transports only authorized students.Reports all accidents and complete required reports.Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus
• Performs such duties as may from time to time be assigned.Effective: 2025- 2026 School Year

Salary

• $44,680 per year
