Responsibilities
- Electronics & Robotics: Teach the fundamentals of electricity, circuit design (series/parallel), DC motors, and robotics applications.Engineering Pathway: Lead a multi-level curriculum focusing on the Engineering Design Process (EDP), structural engineering, and sustainable design.Sustainable Innovation: Instruct students in Biomimicry Design Thinking, using nature-based solutions to solve modern environmental challenges.Career Mentorship: Prepare students for the workforce through portfolio development and resume writing; mentor students through a year-long independent innovation project
Requirements
- Certification: Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of Industrial Arts or Technology).Core Knowledge: Strong command of the Engineering Design Process, electronics theory and programming.Technical Skills: Experience with 3D computer modeling, digital prototyping, and lab safety procedures.Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with NJ Student Learning Standards for Career & Technical Education
