SPEECH LANGUAGE SPECIALIST (2026 - 2027 School Year)

• SPEECH LANGUAGE SPECIALISTJOB GOAL: Provides diagnostic, remedial, and consultative services for children with speech, language and communication disorders
• Works in conjunction with staff members to determine specific needs of children who displays speech, language and hearing difficulties

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Department of Education Speech Language Specialist Endorsement
• Must be American Speech-Hearing-Language Association (ASHA) certified
• Prefer, minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Speech Language Specialist
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective therapy methods
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated competence to use the computer as a tool for management
• Effectively communicates and understands job instructions both verbally and written in the English language
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
