HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER

• ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL LEVEL: Grades K-8 JOB GOAL: To promote students' safety, wellness, health maintenance and physical fitness; provide students with an understanding of the relationship of a healthy body to healthy behaviors; and to cultivate knowledge and skills that are conducive to good physical and mental health

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate for Health and Physical Education or ability to obtain certification through the Limited Instructional Certification Program.Holders of Certificates of Eligibility must complete the 50-hour pre-professional requirement.Demonstrates knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Effectively communicates and understands job instructions, both verbally and written, in the English language.Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
