• :Watchung is seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school facilities are safe, clean, and in good repair.Key

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buildings, equipment, and grounds
• Conduct inspections to identify necessary repairs or safety issues
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks
• Maintain cleanliness of school grounds including minor landscaping
• Respond to maintenance requests from staff in a timely manner
• Set up and take down equipment or furniture for events and activities
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous maintenance or custodial experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair
• Must have a valid boiler license or willingness to obtain one within a specified time frame
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Background check and references required
