Youth Develoment Specialist

• The Youth Development Specialist supports students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success through prevention, intervention, counseling, and support services
• This role works closely with school staff and community partners to provide individual and group support, crisis intervention, restorative practices, and wellness education.Key

Responsibilities

• Facilitate youth development and support groups, including Boys to Men and SEL-focused programming.Provide classroom presentations on suicide prevention, substance use prevention, pregnancy prevention, Botvin Life
• Skills, and healthy decision-making.Support students through crisis intervention, conflict resolution, academic monitoring, and goal setting.Collaborate with school administration and staff on attendance, discipline, restorative practices, and student support plans.Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources.Maintain confidentiality, accurate documentation, and ongoing communication with school personnel and community agencies.Participate in meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field required.LSW, LCSW, or LPC preferred.Experience working with adolescents in schools or youth-serving settings preferred.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, restorative justice, prevention education, and social-emotional learning preferred.Interested candidates may apply online via Applitrack
