- Valid NJ K-6 Elementary Instructional Certificate (CEAS, CE, Provisional, or Standard)Valid NJ Endorsement or Eligible (Teacher of Bilingual/Bicultural Education: NJDOE1480) (CEAS, CE, Provisional, or Standard)Knowledge/experience with NJ Student Learning Standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with other grade level teachers
- Willingness to differentiate instruction and utilize technology to enhance student learning (particularly in mathematics and language arts literacy)Ability to interpret and unpack the NJSLS - as it applies to language development for MLLs
- Knowledge of best practices in working with MLLs
- Ability to scaffold content and instruction
- Understanding of the needs of Newcomers
- Knowledge of state assessment expectations and test specifications (where applicable)Ability to interpret results of state and local data (including WIDA)Experience with Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus)Bilingual - Spanish proficiency preferred.Knowledge of Google Apps for Education
