Qualifications

  • Black Seal License (recommended) Minimum experience as determined by the Board Knowledge of plant operation and maintenance; cleaning methods And procedures; heating and ventilation; proper handling of hazardous materials Ability to read, write and communicate effectively Required criminal history background REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities, Building Principal, Establish and promote professional cooperative working relations with building teachers, administration, co-workers and other occupants
  • Complete all general cleaning procedures in a professional, competent and efficient manner
  • Daily cleaning and housekeeping of assigned area consistent with all established task related Standard Operations and Procedures (SOP’S) and frequency schedules, inclusive of rooms and common spaces within an assigned area, or as directed
  • Maintain a clean and organized mobile custodial cart
  • Maintain a cleanliness and general housekeeping of custodial supply and or building service rooms
  • Execute the proper use and care of equipment used in performing job task
  • Maintain and restock consumable supplies in assigned area rooms, IE; facial tissue, hand towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, etc
  • Close and lock all doors and windows; and, turn off all lights upon leaving an unoccupied serviced room or area
  • Report immediately any unsafe maintenance issues to the supervisor
  • Provide assistance in set-up and break-down of furniture and equipment as may be required for after school activities
  • Respond to and provide assistance in emergency situations as requested by the building administration and or supervisor
  • Respond to emergency call-in situations such as snow removal and mechanical systems failures requiring building cleanup or other situations requiring assistance
  • Other task as may be directed by the supervisor or building administrator
  • Additional Duties Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring a clean, safe work environment
  • Equipment Use hand tools of trade and related power equipment, including brooms, mops, floor cleaning and waxing machines, vacuum cleaners, snow blowers, shovels, power mower and hand tools

Requirements

  • Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper use of tools and power equipment used in the performance of duties
  • Wears appropriate safety gear, including masks
  • Must comply with school district's chemical hygiene program and follow MSDS sheets

Qualifications

  • Previous successful experience in building management/maintenance capacity or an equivalent combination of experience and training
