• The program emphasizes individualized instruction, strong relationships, academic accountability, and student success.Job Goal: Provide high-quality instruction and academic support using an online learning platform while collaborating with school staff and families to promote student engagement, credit completion, and on-time graduation

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certification (appropriate content area or Special Education preferred);Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Apex Learning or similar online platforms (Apex experience required);Experience working with at-risk, credit-deficient, or alternative education students preferred;Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills;Ability to collaborate effectively with counselors, administrators, students, and families;Required criminal history background check

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction and academic support using the Apex online education platform;Monitor student progress and provide individualized interventions as needed;Coordinate student scheduling and academic planning with assigned School Counselors;Coordinate and attend student and parent/guardian meetings to review progress and provide support;Maintain consistent communication with students, families, counselors, and administrators;Complete and distribute quarterly progress reports;Maintain accurate records, attendance, and documentation per district policy;Support students in developing organization, accountability, and academic confidence;Participate in meetings, professional development, and program planning;Provide support for program-related activities as needed
