Job description
- : Under the direction of the Supervisor of Facilities, the Maintenance Worker assists in the upkeep, repair, and overall maintenance of all Monmouth-Ocean Educational Services Commission facilities and grounds
- This includes ensuring buildings, systems, and outdoor areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and fully operational condition
Qualifications
- Demonstrates the physical strength, stamina, and dexterity required to perform all assigned maintenance and groundskeeping tasks.Ability to read, write, and understand work-related directions and instructions with sufficient skill to complete tasks effectively and safely.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a maintenance worker in a school district or comparable experience in commercial, institutional, or industrial settings.Valid New Jersey driver's license required.Ability to operate maintenance equipment, power tools, and light/heavy machinery safely.Such alternatives to the above

Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and basic electrical work
- Electrical work shall only be performed by employees who maintain the appropriate electrical certification or license, or when assisting a licensed electrician.Assist with preventative maintenance and minor repairs of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.Maintain all grounds, including grass cutting, trimming, landscaping, and general site upkeep.Perform snow and ice removal, including plowing, shoveling, salting, and sanding of walkways, parking lots, and entrances.Respond to and perform emergency repairs as needed, which may occur during off-

- , weekends, or holidays.Operate maintenance vehicles, tools, and equipment, including occasional operation of heavy equipment.Deliver and retrieve equipment, supplies, furniture, and other necessary items among Commission locations and to/from school districts or sites served by the Commission.Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by following proper safety procedures and regulations.Support facility setup and breakdown for events or operational needs as required.Travel between Commission facilities and affiliated district locations as needed to perform assigned duties.Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Facilities.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, 12 months 7:00am-3:00pm
