Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local reporting

Requirements

  • , including oversight of data submissions through NJSLEDS and other federal and state reports.Manage and optimize the district's student and staff information systems by establishing, implementing, and enforcing clear data governance procedures that ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data, and enable staff to effectively follow standardized processes.Develop and deliver training, guidance, and support to administrators and staff to ensure effective and consistent use of student/staff information systems. (e.g. guides, videos, trainings)Proactively identify inefficiencies in data systems and workflows and lead the development and implementation of improved processes and solutions.Collaborate with staff and administration to identify needs and develop solutions to support instructional and operational goals.Design, develop, and deliver high-quality reports and data outputs to support operational needs, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making.Support administrators in their use of data-based decision making by providing training and technical expertise in how to generate, input, format and interpret student achievement data.Provide ongoing technological assistance and training with scheduling, grading, employee forms, etc.Maintain and manage integration with instructional and hosted applications, serving as a liaison with vendors.Stay abreast of current technological development and trends in the field of data management by attending conferences and classes, as necessary.Perform any other tasks, as requested by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, computer science, or similar field
  • Experience managing student/staff information systems, data systems, or comparable enterprise databases, preferably in a school district (e.g
  • Genesis or comparable platforms)Strong understanding of data governance, data integrity, and federal/state/local compliance
