Requirements
- Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of ESL)Knowledge/experience with WIDA Standards and NJ Student Learning Standards for ELAKnowledge/experience with ACCESS Testing
- Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus)Ability to apply and turnkey Can Do Descriptors
- Knowledge of best practices in working with MLs (ie: Sheltered English Instruction)Understanding of the needs of Newcomers
- Knowledge of Google Apps for Education
- Willingness to work collaboratively with fellow department members (as well as other instructional staff)Demonstrates detail in required paperwork, documentation, etc.Bilingual (a plus)Additional certification (Teacher of Bilingual/Bicultural) - a plus
- Successful clearance of criminal history
