Requirements

• Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of ESL)Knowledge/experience with WIDA Standards and NJ Student Learning Standards for ELAKnowledge/experience with ACCESS Testing
• Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching (a plus)Ability to apply and turnkey Can Do Descriptors
• Knowledge of best practices in working with MLs (ie: Sheltered English Instruction)Understanding of the needs of Newcomers
• Knowledge of Google Apps for Education
• Willingness to work collaboratively with fellow department members (as well as other instructional staff)Demonstrates detail in required paperwork, documentation, etc.Bilingual (a plus)Additional certification (Teacher of Bilingual/Bicultural) - a plus
