Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Educational Certificate as a School Counselor
• License/Certificate in School Counseling
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of counseling theories and techniques
• Proficient in the use of technology including (SIS, Excel, Canva, Google Workspace, and
• Naviance)Student Counseling and Academic Support? Provide individual and group counseling to students to support academic achievement.? Ability to inspire and motivate students to seek high achieving standards and develop areadiness for next level education.? Support the school counseling program by advocating and sustaining the roles and

• of school counselors as per the ASCA model.? Assist students in reaching their potential and make improvements based collaborativedesigned plans for student academic and socioemotional growth.? Innovative future thinker who can spearhead new developments in the counselingdepartment for academic planning.Parent and Teacher Collaboration? Consult with parents, teachers, and other staff to address academic opportunities.? Facilitate communication between students, parents and school in delivering specificprogramming.? Create and deliver presentations for parents and staff members on a monthly basis.
