• The South Amboy School District has the following anticipated opening for the 2026-2027 school year:PART TIME SCHOOL SECURITY GUARD

Responsibilities

• Student arrival and entry/exit;Monitor student parking;lunch duty;checking student passes;assisting with violations of health and safety codes;and other job-related duties.In order to qualify for this position, the successful candidate must demonstrate:The ability to work flexible

Hours

• based upon the needs of the district
• Experience in law enforcement preferred
• Experience in school security and/or public safety preferred.Knowledge of security measures, fire prevention, and crowd control
• Ability to maintain order and to work with groups and individuals on matters of security and crisis management.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate.Use technology efficiently such as a computer, two-way radio, video monitors, buzz-in systems, electronic surveillance equipment and other devices selected by the district to be part of the school security system
• CPR, AED, and First Aid Training
• Experience in school settings preferred
• Experience working with school-aged students preferred
• WORK WEEK: Up to 29

• per week

Salary

• up to $28/ hourly
