• Position Overview Washington Township School District seeks a long-term substitute Art Teacher to provide instruction for K-6 students across our two elementary schools, beginning on August 31, 2026, through the end of the 2026-27 school year.Essential

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive art instruction to students in grades K-6Implement engaging, age-appropriate art curriculum aligned with New Jersey Student Learning Standards
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and creative classroom environment
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration
• Supervise students during art classes and related activities
• Required

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate with Art endorsement (P-12 or K-12) ORValid New Jersey Substitute Credential with Art certification/endorsement
• Demonstrated knowledge of art techniques, materials, and instructional methods
• Preferred

Qualifications

• Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience
• Experience working with elementary-aged students
• Familiarity with K-6 art curriculum development
• Start Date: August 31, 2026Duration: Through end of 2026-27 school year (approximately June 18, 2027)
