- Thrive Charter School is seeking a reliable, student-focused, and collaborative Middle School Educational Assistant to support students and teachers in grades 6-8
- The ideal candidate will help create a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment that promotes academic success, positive behavior, and student independence.Position Overview
- The Middle School Educational Assistant works closely with classroom teachers and support staff to assist with instructional delivery, classroom management, and student supervision
- This role is essential in supporting middle school students academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the school day
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers with instructional activities and lesson implementation
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive, structured learning environment
- Support students with academic tasks in core subject areas (ELA, math, science, social studies)Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times
- Provide support for students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs or 504 plans, as directed
- Assist with behavior support strategies and positive behavior reinforcement
- Prepare and organize instructional materials and classroom resources
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers and support staff
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and positive relationships with students and staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate degree or college coursework preferred
- Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to support a variety of student needs

Qualifications
- Experience in a school or youth development setting
- Familiarity with supporting students with diverse academic or behavioral needs
- Interest in education or pursuing a career in teaching or student support services
- Strong classroom management support skills
