  • Thrive Charter School is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-focused Elementary Education Assistant to support teachers and students in grades K-5
  • The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to help create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Position Overview
  • The Elementary Education Assistant provides instructional, behavioral, and clerical support within the elementary classroom setting
  • This role is essential in helping teachers deliver high-quality instruction while ensuring students receive the individualized attention and support they need to succeed

Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teachers with instructional activities and lesson implementation
  • Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning concepts
  • Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Provide academic support in reading, math, writing, and other subject areas as needed
  • Help supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times
  • Support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs using school-approved strategies
  • Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization
  • Monitor student progress and report observations to classroom teachers
  • Assist with accommodations for students with special needs as directed
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude when working with students
  • Preferred
