- Thrive Charter School is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-focused Elementary Education Assistant to support teachers and students in grades K-5
- The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to help create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Position Overview
- The Elementary Education Assistant provides instructional, behavioral, and clerical support within the elementary classroom setting
- This role is essential in helping teachers deliver high-quality instruction while ensuring students receive the individualized attention and support they need to succeed
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers with instructional activities and lesson implementation
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning concepts
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Provide academic support in reading, math, writing, and other subject areas as needed
- Help supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times
- Support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs using school-approved strategies
- Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization
- Monitor student progress and report observations to classroom teachers
- Assist with accommodations for students with special needs as directed
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred
- Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude when working with students

- Experience in a school or childcare setting
- Familiarity with supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Strong organizational and classroom support skills
