Part-Time Custodian

• The Part-Time Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and general upkeep of school facilities
• This role plays an important part in ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment across classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and surfaces
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and hand sanitizer
• Clean spills and address maintenance or safety concerns promptly
• Assist with set-up and breakdown for school events and activities
• Ensure doors, windows, and facilities are secure as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and cleaning protocols
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to administration
• Support overall school cleanliness and organization

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous custodial, maintenance, or cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean environments
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
• Reliability and strong work ethic
• Preferred

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school or institutional setting
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
• Flexible availability for after-school or evening
