  • Thrive Charter School is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-centered High School Mathematics Teacher (Grades 9-12) to join our instructional team

  • The Grades 9-12 Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in high school mathematics courses
  • This includes supporting students in foundational and advanced math skills while preparing them for graduation

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in high school mathematics
  • Teach courses such as Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and/or other math electives as assigned
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
  • Develop and administer formative and summative assessments
  • Support students in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Provide remediation and enrichment opportunities as needed
  • Create a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with special education staff to support inclusion and student accommodations
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or related field (required)NJDOE certification in Secondary Mathematics (or eligible for certification) required
  • Experience teaching high school students preferred
  • Strong content knowledge in Algebra, Geometry, and upper-level mathematics
  • Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
  • Preferred

Qualifications

  • Experience with data-driven instruction and intervention strategies
  • Familiarity with NJ Student Learning Standards for Mathematics
  • Experience supporting inclusion classrooms and collaborating with special education staff
