- Thrive Charter School is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and student-centered Middle School & High School Business Teacher (Grades 5-12) to join our instructional team
- The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging, real-world instruction in business, finance, economics, and entrepreneurship while preparing them for college, career, and life readiness.Position Overview
- The Business Teacher will design and deliver a comprehensive business education program across middle and high school grade levels
- Instruction should be hands-on, project-based, and connected to real-world applications that build financial literacy, entrepreneurship skills, and career readiness
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned business curriculum for grades 5-12Teach financial literacy, banking, budgeting, credit, investing, economics, marketing, and entrepreneurship
- Design project-based learning experiences such as business simulations, student enterprises, and case studies
- Integrate technology and real-world applications into daily instruction
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners across grade levels
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support academic growth
- Promote college and career readiness skills and pathways
- Collaborate with staff to support interdisciplinary instruction and school-wide initiatives
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Education, Education, Finance, Economics, or related field (required)NJDOE certification in Business Education or eligibility for certification preferred
- Experience teaching middle school and/or high school students preferred
- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
- Ability to connect academic content to real-world experiences
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Qualifications
- Background in business, entrepreneurship, finance, or related industry experience
- Experience with project-based learning or career and technical education (CTE) programs
- Ability to support student leadership, internships, or school-based business initiatives
