• In accordance with the negotiated agreement between the Phillipsburg Board of Education and the Phillipsburg Paraprofessional Association.POSITION SUMMARY:The Preschool Aide (Assistant Teacher) supports the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for all children
• The aide assists in implementing daily routines and instructional activities that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of preschool students.MANDATORY

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated competence in classroom support and instructional skills
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education
• Commitment to a student-centered approach to learning
• Successful completion of a criminal history background check
• PREFERRED

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with young children
• Understanding of child growth and development
• Familiarity with positive behavior management strategies
