  • The Director of School Performance (K - 5 / 6 -12) serves as a central office administrator responsible for the supervision, support, and evaluation of school principals within an assigned School Performance Network.This role establishes clear lines of accountability for school outcomes through a network-based supervision model.The Executive Director is directly accountable for improving student achievement, attendance, and school culture by ensuring strong instructional leadership, effective school operations, and the consistent implementation of district priorities across all assigned schools

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university (Doctorate preferred)Minimum:Five (5) years of successful teaching experience
  • Five (5) years of successful school leadership experience (principal or equivalent)Demonstrated expertise in:Instructional leadership and school improvement
  • Supervision and evaluation of staff
  • Data-driven decision-making and performance management

Responsibilities

  • Principal Supervision and Evaluation
  • Supervise, support, and evaluate school principals in accordance with:District evaluation systems
  • New Jersey Principal Evaluation for Professional Learning (NJPEPL)Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to ensure high-quality leadership at the school level
  • School Performance Management and Accountability
  • Lead the implementation of a districtwide performance management system for assigned schools.Ensure schools meet targets related to:Student achievement and growth
  • Attendance and chronic absenteeism
  • School climate and culture
  • Hold principals accountable for measurable outcomes and continuous improvement
  • School Stat Leadership and Data Monitoring
  • Lead School Stat meetings and performance review cycles, including:Analysis of academic, attendance, and climate data
  • Identification of root causes
  • Development and monitoring of action plans
  • Ensure data is used effectively to drive decision-making at the school level
  • Instructional Oversight and Support
  • Ensure consistent implementation of district instructional programs and practices across assigned schools.Support principals in:Aligning instruction to curriculum and standards
  • Implementing data-driven instruction
  • Monitoring classroom instruction and student engagement Intervention Planning and School Support
  • Identify underperforming schools and implement targeted intervention strategies.Coordinate support across departments (Instruction, Talent, Student Services, Data) to address school needs.Monitor the effectiveness of interventions and adjust strategies as needed

  • $204,761.00 Residency Requirement
  • Under New Jersey's "New Jersey First Act" (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7), all employees of New Jersey public school districts must maintain bona fide New Jersey residency as a condition of employment
  • Candidates must already reside in New Jersey or establish residency within the required timeframe after hire
  • Current employees who were hired on or before September 1, 2011areexemptfrom this requirement and may continue to reside outside the state
  • In limited circumstances, applicants may request a residency waiver through the state's Employee Residency Review Committee if they can demonstrate critical need or hardship; approval is not guaranteed
