- The Supervisor of Curriculum, Assessment, MTSS & Intervention (K - 12) is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and continuous support of district curriculum, assessment systems, and instructional practices across schools
- This role serves as the operational leader ensuring that curriculum and instructional expectations established at the district level are consistently implemented in classrooms
- The Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting early childhood and elementary instruction, advancing the Science of Reading, and ensuring that research-based, developmentally appropriate instructional practices are effectively executed across Pre
- K - 12
- This position is highly school-facing and focuses on instructional quality, teacher support, and real-time problem solving to drive improved student outcomes

Requirements

Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum:Five (5) years successful teaching experience
- Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership, coaching, or curriculum implementation
- Strong expertise in:Early childhood and elementary instruction
- Science of Reading and foundational literacy practices
- Curriculum implementation and instructional coaching
- Experience supporting teachers and school leaders in improving instruction
- Knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) Core
Responsibilities
- Curriculum Implementation and Instructional Support
- Support schools in implementing district curriculum and instructional expectations with fidelity.Provide direct school-based instructional support
- Ensure alignment between curriculum, pacing, and classroom instruction
- Identify implementation gaps and provide real-time support
- Support consistent instructional expectations across schools Assessment Implementation and Data Use
- Support implementation of district assessment systems and promote data-driven instructional practices.Assist schools in administering and analyzing assessments
- Support teachers and leaders in using data to inform instruction and intervention
- Monitor progress toward instructional goals
- Support development of data-informed action plans MTSS Framework and Intervention Systems
- Support implementation of districtwide Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).Support implementation of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 intervention systems
- Assist schools in identifying students in need of intervention
- Support delivery of evidence-based academic interventions
- Monitor fidelity and effectiveness of intervention implementation
- Ensure interventions are timely, targeted, and aligned to student needs Science of Reading and Foundational Literacy Support
- Support implementation of structured literacy practices aligned to the Science of Reading.Provide coaching on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension
- Support foundational literacy instruction across Pre

- Conduct classroom visits, walkthroughs, and instructional reviews to monitor instructional quality and intervention implementation.Collect and analyze evidence of instructional and intervention practices
- Provide feedback to teachers and school leaders

- Deliver and support professional learning aligned to district instructional and intervention priorities.Facilitate professional development sessions

- Ensure curriculum, assessment, and MTSS systems align with district priorities and operational expectations.Collaborate with Curriculum, Special Services, Data, and School Leadership teams
- Support alignment of instructional and intervention systems
- Ensure integration of MTSS into district performance systems Resource and Materials Support
- Support effective use of instructional and intervention materials.Assist with rollout of curriculum and intervention resources

- Under New Jersey's "New Jersey First Act" (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7), all employees of New Jersey public school districts must maintain bona fide New Jersey residency as a condition of employment
- Candidates must already reside in New Jersey or establish residency within the required timeframe after hire
- Current employees who were hired on or before September 1, 2011 are exempt from this requirement and may continue to reside outside the state
- In limited circumstances, applicants may request a residency waiver through the state's Employee Residency Review Committee if they can demonstrate critical need or hardship; approval is not guaranteed
