  • The Manager of Alternative Education & Student Re-Engagement Programs is responsible for the day-to-day implementation, coordination, and performance monitoring of district alternative education programs.This role ensures that alternative education pathways are executed with fidelity, consistency, and measurable impact on student attendance, engagement, and credit attainment.The Manager serves as the primary operational lead, supporting schools, staff, and students by ensuring that programs are functioning effectively, students are progressing toward graduation, and systems are responsive to real-time needs.This position translates strategy into execution and ensures that alternative education is a high-functioning, outcomes-driven system, not a fragmented set of programs
  • Required:Bachelor's Degree
  • Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
  • A valid driver's license or state issued ID, valid insurance and registration

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree preferred
  • New Jersey instructional or administrative certification preferred (not required)Minimum three (3) years of experience in:Education, student services, or program coordination
  • Demonstrated experience working with:At-risk or non-traditional student populations
  • Strong knowledge of:Credit tracking and graduation

  • Alternative Education Program Execution (OWNER)Ensure effective day-to-day implementation of alternative education programs.Support operation of:Credit recovery and accelerated learning programs
  • Blended and online learning platforms
  • Re-engagement and dropout recovery initiatives
  • Behavioral and restorative programs
  • Monitor program implementation across sites
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and fidelity Student Tracking & Credit Monitoring (OWNER)Ensure accurate tracking of student progress toward graduation.Monitor:Credit accumulation

  • $90,000.00Maximum Starting

Salary

  • $115,000.00 Residency Requirement
  • Under New Jersey's "New Jersey First Act" (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7), all employees of New Jersey public school districts must maintain bona fide New Jersey residency as a condition of employment
  • Candidates must already reside in New Jersey or establish residency within the required timeframe after hire
  • Current employees who were hired on or before September 1, 2011areexemptfrom this requirement and may continue to reside outside the state
  • In limited circumstances, applicants may request a residency waiver through the state's Employee Residency Review Committee if they can demonstrate critical need or hardship; approval is not guaranteed
