  • The Community & Inclusion Coordinator will also serve as the liaison between the school and community to assist in meeting the needs of our students and community by embracing the school as a community resource hub.PERFORMANCE

  • Budget Development and Financial Planning:Evaluates content priorities and makes recommendations for adequate financing to accommodate short and long-range budget planning related to the Strategic Equity Plan, teacher recruitment, professional development, attendance initiatives, and positive community relations.Ensures all budgeted items are aligned, well-researched, effectively and resources are frequently utilized, and does not duplicate existing services.III

Responsibilities

  • Works with administration to develop a Strategic Equity Plan with key initiatives and goals across the school district.Plans, directs, coordinates, assists, and operates as the internal consultant and researcher to the District administrative team regarding community resources and diversity, equity, and inclusive matters concerning staff, students, and families.Assists schools in addressing the needs of students and families from historically marginalized backgrounds.Organizes student programs that provide for exposure to positive role models and promotion of success among historically marginalized backgrounds.Partners with the District Parent Involvement Committee and serves as the administrative liaison.Establishes a District Parent Committee to actively embrace community voice and feedback to better improve our district as a whole through community relationships.Ensures equitable and inclusive practices exist in our policies and regulations.Assists in furthering the diversity, equity, inclusion, and community goals of the district.Researches, develops, and organizes education and training programs on diversity, equity, and inclusion including bias, sensitivity, and cultural competency; coordinates these activities in partnership with District Administration.Remains current on laws, regulations, trends, and best practices that relate to diversity, inclusion, Title IX, and related topics.Leads teacher recruitment initiatives to advocate for a more diverse workforce throughout Lindenwold Schools.Manages and leads District DEI Council.IV
  • Anti-Bullying Coordinator:Oversees the District's K - 12 Anti-Bullying Specialists and other staff as assigned by the Superintendent to develop a comprehensive Anti-Bullying Program.Works collaboratively with the Director of Curriculum, Superintendent, Principals, and Anti-Bullying Specialists and other administrative staff.Researches and reviews instructional materials for possible purchase, utilization/implementation to support the District's inclusive and belonging / Anti-Bullying / Anti-Racist Mission.Assists in the coordination of supplemental programs and consultants (i.e. assemblies, guest speakers, etc.)Develops and monitors "student voice" committees to advocate for positive culture and climate throughout our schools as well as positive social justice initiatives.Develops and coordinates a district-wide process for the ongoing training of administration, staff, and students pursuant to the NJDOE mandates and guidelines as assigned including HIB.Assists in the oversight of software which monitors online and unsafe student behaviors.As needed, speaks to/with the Board of Education about bullying related incidents, recommendations for discipline or services, or any programs implemented to reduce such incidents.Oversees the Hibster Reporting System.Collaborates with administration to accurately complete and manage the Student Safety Data System.V

  • Serves as the Affirmative Action Officer ensuring District compliance with policy, regulation, and law.Serves as the Compliance and Hearing Officer in all activities required in accordance with federal mandates such as Title VI, Title VII, and Title IX.Oversees the Comprehensive Equity Plan and collaborates with administration as required.X
  • Curriculum
  • Collaborates in the identification and development of professional development needs and assists in the creation of a multi-year Equity Strategic Plan.Collaborates with K - 12 administration to intentionally design and implement educational programming to raise awareness and competency of students in support of social identity, cultural, and global understanding.Assesses and ensures district curriculum resources are culturally sensitive, culturally responsive, and ensures diversity and inclusion is embraced in representation and social justice orientation.Plays a significant leadership role in fostering professional growth and building of staff morale throughout the district.Models dedication to the life-long learning process and prioritizes commitment to independent research: outside district programming, educational trends, educational philosophies, innovative ideas, and innovative models that will have a positive impact on student achievement, student safety, mental health, and overall welfare
  • Continues to grow professionally through collaboration with colleagues and professional growth experiences.XI
  • Other Duties:Assists in recruiting, screening, hiring, training, assigning, evaluating, and removal when needed of staff assigned within the district.Researches strategies to actively recruit teaching staff with a goal of expanding an inclusive and diverse workforce.Evaluates staff using an approach that identifies specific areas of strengths and areas of growth
  • Provides actionable feedback to support staff professional growth
  • Supports the growth mind-set philosophy through evaluation.Shares feedback with Director of Curriculum on all curriculum / instruction required plans (Professional Development Plan, Technology Plan, Mentoring Plan, Comprehensive Equity Plan, etc.).Routinely reviews districtwide attendance patterns and provides district leadership for addressing chronic absenteeism.Establishes, coordinates, and communicates community partnerships to secure resources to benefit our students and community.Leads community & school partnership initiatives which benefit our students and our community.Identifies priorities for improvement based upon the analysis of data and perception indicators (i.e. discipline, attendance, course enrollment-).Performs any duties that are within the scope of employment and certifications, as assigned by the Superintendent and not otherwise prohibited by law or regulation.Ensures all out-of-district and professional development/school business absences are logged into the attendance system for self and guidance/counseling staff members.Attends in-service training services provided by the NJDOE.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:This is a 12 month position.EVALUATION:The performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of certified personnel.DEADLINE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED
