• Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Earth, Physical or Biological Science or Subject Matter Specialization - Science Grades 5-8)Ability to conduct/facilitate laboratory investigations
• Knowledge/Experience with modeling and inquiry-based science instruction
• Knowledge/Experience with Open
• Sci
• Ed (a plus)Knowledge of the scope and sequence of NJ Student Learning Standards (ie: Next Generation Science Standards)Knowledge of state assessment test specifications for science (ie: NJSLA)Ability to integrate technology effectively to enhance instruction
• Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson's Framework for Teaching - a plus
• Knowledge of best practices in middle level education
• Willingness to collaborate with fellow department members
