Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of New Jersey Student Learning Standards, WIDA, and TESOL standards
- Knowledgeable in best practices in Bilingual education, English as a Second Language and Sheltered English Instruction
- Knowledgeable in current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based on student learning styles
- Able to develop and implement effective instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of multilingual learners
- Possess the skills and knowledge to create a safe classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the development and interests of the students
- Possess proven interpersonal communication skills
- Familiar with ACCESS testing
- Works cooperatively with subject area teachers
- Certifications:Valid New Jersey Teacher of ESL certification or eligibility, a plus
- Bilingual/Bicultural Education (1480) certificate, Spanish-speaking required
