- The Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- The successful candidate will create an inclusive, student-centered learning environment that promotes academic growth, independence, and social-emotional development
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standards-aligned instruction based on students' IEP goals and individual needs.Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success.Prepare, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.Collect and analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions.Differentiate instruction and utilize evidence-based practices to support diverse learners.Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring records, and compliance timelines.Participate in IEP meetings, professional development activities, and school-based teams.Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities endorsement or Teacher of the Handicapped certification required.Appropriate New Jersey instructional certificate required.Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.Application Procedure

Salary
- $69,630 (minimum) to $103,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
