• Position Overview The Millstone Township School District is seeking a creative, student-centered School Counselor to serve students in grades Pre-K through 2

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey School Counselor Certificate (required)Master's Degree in School Counseling or related field
• Experience with Response to Intervention (RTI) and/or Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)Knowledge of Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) laws and procedures; experience serving as HIB Anti-Bullying Specialist (preferred)Experience with HIBster platform (preferred)Background in character education program implementation
• Ability to design and deliver engaging classroom lessons and targeted small group interventions
• The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate:A deep understanding of child development, especially in early childhood
• Strong skills in building trusting relationships with young children, families, and staff
• Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture
• The ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and outside service providers

• A proactive approach to supporting student mental health and well-being
• Flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with early learners
