• Experience in school transportation preferred.Two years' experience in word processing and computer knowledge required, with demonstrated ability to input, manipulate, and retrieve data
• Experience with transportation software preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid New Jersey driver's license with driving privileges in good standing; CDL Class B with P&S endorsements or be able to obtain within two years
• BASIC FUNCTIONS AND

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development and administration of the transportation program to meet the safety and welfare of all students, participants, and the needs of the Town of Secaucus Recreation Program.Prepares annual State reports
• Coordinates with the Transportation Supervisor regarding accidents, incidents, and/or serious problems and acts when necessary
• Maintains payroll driver

• and account records for payroll departments
• Orders goods and services for the Transportation Department and prepares purchase orders as necessary
• Assists the Transportation Supervisor with new students, bus stops, route changes, and maintains records for routes and mileage
• Maintains and updates routing system
• Maintains record keeping and updating of private school roster
• Prepares private school vouchers for the business office
• Reports on bus passenger discipline problems to the administrators responsible
• Performs other duties as directed by the Board or its designee REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
